WHAT IS BEWAT©?

BEWAT© is a biopolymer designed and produced by SERVYECO for wastewater treatment. Our unique new patented molecule allows us to produce a series of natural coagulants with multifunctional character. These coagulants are based on natural extracts obtained mainly from sustainably grown trees and plants.

Environmental advantages

BEWAT© is more environmentally friendly compared to aluminium polychloride or ferric chloride, due to its organic nature and its high degree of biodegradability. It does not add metals to the water or sludge, so the products are non-corrosive and non-irritant, making it is safer for those who handle it and for storage and transport.

Economic Advantages

BEWAT © has significant economic advantages over other traditional inorganic coagulants based on iron or aluminium. It allows a lower consumption to achieve better yields, reduces or eliminates the use of basic neutralising products such as sodium hydroxide or lime, reduces the necessary dose of flocculants in subsequent stages and reduces the production of sludge and waste generated, which optimises the overall operating costs of wastewater treatment plants.

Water reuse

BEWAT© facilitates the reuse of water as it does not increase conductivity, thus preventing corrosion in the metallic parts of hydraulic circuits. In addition, as the sludge generated is free of metals it can be reused more easily for agricultural purposes. When used for biogas production, it increases energy efficiency.
